The Ammons Sisters

Preserving Our Heritage Through Art and Story

Doreyl

Amy

The way to tell a "story" is as different with each person as the stories and individuals themselves.

Doreyl Ammons Cain of Tuckasegee is an award-winning artist.  Doreyl creates Pastel  & Acrylic  paintings, murals, sketches and more.

Amy Ammons Garza is a storyteller who tells tales of growing up in the mountains in a house with no electricity or plumbing. As a child she sat at the foot of her grandfather and listened to tales of how her ancestors, seven generations past, were a part of those who traveled to Western North Carolina and settled the isolated mountains.
